Another scare tale….
One of the great things that October brings us is that it lends itself to join your friends either around a bonfire or in a meeting to tell those stories that we all love, but more than one leaves without sleep.
Personally as a child I was afraid of encountering some paranormal phenomenon, but one day I witnessed something, that had it not happened to my own parents and be present when they realized it, it would be one of those stories that cause me fear, but in the background I do not think.
It happened on a family trip, we needed a place to rest halfway and family members offered to lend us their house, a cold house for lack of someone who lived there was not very large and the lack of visitors was somewhat neglected without However, it would allow us to rest as necessary. There were only 3 bedrooms, all of them with only one bed, no televisions, which gave an unusual silence. After the trip we had been doing we were too tired to stay awake so everyone took a room, except my dad who preferred to be in the kitchen and ended up asleep in the hall.
I spent the night waking up continuously because it seemed strange to me where I was, I had to remember the many times I woke up, besides the unusual cold made of his to wake me up every hour or two. And if the cold or the memory disturbed me the silence that flooded the house and the environment instead of being flattering were interrupted with steps coming from the corridor every time I thought I heard them I imagined dad crossing the corridor in search of his room or the toilet . Actually and to avoid honoring in details, it has been one of the worst nights I have spent.
The next morning we opted to have breakfast before leaving and right there with everyone gathered and with an evident lack of sleep in the faces of each one. My dad broke the silence commenting that he had a bad night, like I suffered from the cold but my night did not compare with his, he told me that he had had a strange dream and just before it started, Mom interrupted him to say: There was a lady! And both looked surprised.
I did not understand, until my mom continued: “I was asleep with the door of the room open and a lady with short white hair, about 70 or 80 years old, wearing a long black dress and a pearl necklace, she looked worried and she only managed to ask me “do not want to sleep, right?”, I still answered “no” despite the confusion that caused me the question I knew that I was wondering about your foolishness to sleep in the hall, she answered me to tell you to go to sleep. “
At the end of his story just notice the look of surprise of dad and with a thread of voice affirmed the action of the aforementioned lady “so, it was a lady with white hair and black dress who came, stood in front of me and He told me «go up to sleep».
Undoubtedly we were forced to finish breakfast to leave the house that they had kindly given us and well, maybe you do not, but I do believe in my parents because they are not lovers of this kind of stories, so it is not product of his imagination although that morning we joked that they had agreed to scare us or what would explain the coincidence in their stories.
I do not know, maybe there are really souls among us who have not found their way, but with this experience I can see that they do not come to scare us as they make us believe sometimes, or not all, maybe it’s just our need to feel alive through fear.
